Biography

Gia Macuja Atchison is a Filipino international singer/actress based in the United Kingdom, with more than 20 years experience in the business.
She is known for her stand-out performance as Estrella Cumpas in the Royal National Theatre production of HERE LIES LOVE in London for which she received a nomination in the 2014 WhatsOnStage Awards. She was in the original cast of West End production of THE LION KING where she played the lead role of Princess Nala in numerous performances at the Lyceum Theatre. She has also performed both the roles of Gigi and Ellen in the original West End run of MISS SAIGON at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Other lead roles include, Mary Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Cosette in LES MISERABLES, Luisa in THE FANTASTICKS, and Clara in the Asian Premiere of Sondheim's PASSION together with Repertory Philippines.  She also played the lead role of the singing IBONG ADARNA in the highly successful run of the all-original Filipino production by Ballet Manila.  She is the winner of the Best Female Artist at the 2017 SPMA Awards (Side Project Music Awards), recognised for her contribution to the Philippine Community in London.She was a member of the vocal group the West End Mamas, Winner of Best New Group in the 26th Annual Aliw Awards in the Philippines.
